Miss A’s Suzy revealed that JYP Entertainment gives sex education to its trainees!

On the episode of “Strong Heart” that aired on March 6, Suzy was talking about the advantages of being part of JYP Entertainment, when she revealed that trainees receive sex education.

During this episode, Seohyun of Girls’ Generation spoke about the advantages of SM Entertainment while Se7en talked about the advantages of YG Entertainment. So as the representative of JYP, Suzy said, “In JYP, dance and vocal lessons are a given – they also give sex education,” surprising all the guests and viewers.

After Suzy dropped this news, all the guests were pretty shocked. She continued, “A sex education instructor comes and we all gather together and listen to the lecture as if we’re in class.”

Afterwards, another guest Choi Halli said, “These days, my son is going through puberty and is asking me a lot of difficult and uncomfortable questions. Every time he asks those questions, I tell him to ask Super Junior’s Leeteuk instead,” surprising Leeteuk and causing laughter to erupt throughout the set.

[News] ‘Strong Heart’ to air ‘YG special’

SBS Strong Heart is preparing for a YG special episode.

As previously reported, Lee Seung Gi, who is the current MC of Strong Heart, will have his last recording on March 15 in order to concentrate on his acting and singing activities. It appears that Lee Seung Gi will be having his last show with YG Entertainment artists.

On February 22nd, a representative from SBS revealed, “On March 15th, Strong Heart will film ‘YG Special’, where all the singers from YG Entertainment will appear. The production team are having meetings about various concepts such as Psy being the MC.”

[News] GD & TOP Earn Nomination for Korean Music Awards!

On January 18th, the nominees for the Korean Public Music Awards were announced by the Conference Committee of the award show. Among the nominees, which sparked much attention to the public, is dynamic and popular duo of YG Entertainment, GD&TOP.

The unit falls under the list of “Best Rap & Hip Hop” category.
“Best Netizen’s Choice: Musician of the Year (Group Category)”

GD&TOP is also nominated in “Best Rap/Hip Hop Song” for “Knock Out”. Other nominees include Deep Flow for “Welcome to the Club”, Metal and Wreckx for “Yes Yes Y’all”, Verbal Jint for “You Look Good” and J.Tong for “Goo Goo Ga Ga”.

[News] 15th anniversary YG Family Concert is an enormous success

Celebrating their 15th anniversary, YG Entertainment continues to see enormous success with their ‘YG Family Concerts’, the latest concert in Osaka, Japan, drawing 80,000 fans to a one-of-a-kind concert featuring some of the biggest names in K-Pop.

With artists such as Big Bang, 2NE1, Se7en, Gummy , Tablo, PSY , and Jinusean, YG artists celebrated for two straight days at the Osaka Kyocera Dome on the 7th and 8th of January.

2NE1 kicked off the energetic night with their debut track, “FIRE“, and Big Bang took to the stage soon after, drawing immense cheer from the crowd.

Se7en continued the festivities, and sang the Japanese versions of his songs “Better Together” and “Somebody Else“, the title track for his Japanese mini-album, which is scheduled for release on the 18th.

As recent inductees to the YG Family, Tablo and PSY also provided solid performances, and PSY ‘s trademark wit was in full effect as he dressed up as “Lady Psy Psy” and “Psyonce“, parodying the popular American artists.

Next came Gummy, on the heels of her first Japanese album, and Jinusean followed soon after with “Phone Number” and “A-YO“.

As for special stages, Big Bang‘s Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri collaborated with Se7en to perform 2NE1‘s “Lonely” and “It Hurts“, and Gummy, Taeyang, and Park Bom made a special appearance on Tablo’s stage.

Altogether, 41 songs were performed at the YG Family Concert, and the energy never let up during the entire three-and-a-half hour long concert.

YG Entertainment is scheduled to take their family concert to the Saitama Super Arena on January 21st and 22nd.
