[News] Park Yoochun’s enlistment notice unwelcome by netizens

Pop group JYJ member Park Yoochun who was been identified as 4th grade and will serve in public service due to asthma announced his official position with respect to military service.

On May 3rd, 2012, an official of management agency of Park Yoochun, C-Jes Entertainment, said:

“Park Yoochun did receive the enlistment notice, but currently there is no confirmed enlistment time, but he’s now filming the drama, so may delay the date for enlistment.”

The official added:

“At the first medical examination in February 2011, Park Yoochun received the decision of 7th grade, becoming the target of re-examination, later he honestly conducted reviews in accordance with the requests from the Military Manpower Administration (MMA) in good faith, was determined to be 4th grade, and will service as public service personnel.”

It’s reported that he received the grade 4 because of asthma.

Park Yoochun is currently starring in SBS drama “Rooftop Prince” in the leading role of Lee Gak.

On the other hand, after the news of Park Yoochun been assigned to public service was announced, it attracted the attention of suspicious netizens.

Netizens said, “Looks like all entertainers is in public service,” “Smoke so heavily, seems like determined to have asthma,” “He looks very healthy on the stage” and so on.

[News] JYJ’s Yoochun Gets Exemption from Regular Military Duty Because of Asthma

JYJ‘s Yoochun will not be serving the regular Korean military duty because of the chronic asthma he was born with. Instead, he will be assigned to a public service personnel position to replace his two year mandatory military service. The exact date of his enlistment (with public service) has not been determined yet.

The report was made on May 3 when Yoochun’s agency, C-Jes Entertainment, said through a press releases that:

“Yoochun was diagnosed with chronic
asthma in his first physical examination last February.
After three more examinations, he received a grade
4, so Yoochun will serve as public service personnel.”

In fact, Yoochun received an enlistment letter that required him to report to military training by May 21. But because of his on-going filming with SBS “Rooftop Prince,” he has been able to postpone his enlistment temporarily.

His agency said:

“We haven’t decided yet on when he will enlist. He will be focusing on his acting in the time being.”

[News] JYJ’s Park Yoochun and Park Yoohwan lay their father to rest

On the morning of March 16th, brothers JYJ‘s Yoochun and Park Yoohwan buried their father to rest after holding a funeral ceremony at the Seoul Sungmo Hospital.

Their father had passed away on the 14th. Although Park Yoohwan was able to be by his side during his last moments, Yoochun had been away, and was unable to make it while on his way back. Upon hearing the unfortunate news, Yoochun had rushed to the hospital in tears.

Since the 14th, his fellow JYJ members and C-JeS Entertainment labelmates had stayed by the brothers’ side at the wake with consolation visits from stars like Alex , Han Ji Min, KARA ‘s Nicole, and other seniors and juniors. Jaejoong was unable to attend due to the deep sorrow he felt for Yoochun and his loss. A representative revealed to Star News, “Kim Jaejoong could not stop his tears in his deep sadness. He was in a state in which he was not able to do anything, so he was not able to attend.”

The funeral was conducted with Buddhist rites and he was laid to rest at the Seoul Memorial Park.

[News] “Rooftop Prince” Park Yoochun to Return to Filming on March 19

With the sudden death of his father, JYJ’s Yoochun hurried to his mother and brother’s, Park Yoohwan/, side as soon as he landed at Incheon International Airport. Jaejoong, Junsu, Song Ji Hyo , and other members of C-Jes Entertainment stayed by Yoo Chun’s family throughout the night as friends and family came by to pay their respects. Those who attended the service included celebrities Alex , JUNO, Kara’s Nicole , Park Sung Kwang , and several members of the cast of Yoo Chun’s upcoming drama “Rooftop Prince.”

Yoochun has canceled his entire schedule until the funeral service on March 16. His brother, actor Park Yoo Hwan, also canceled his filming schedules for his latest drama Channel A’s “Strongest K-Pop Survival. ”

A representative of the production staff for “Rooftop Prince” stated, “Once he recollects himself after the funeral service, Park Yoo Chun will return to filming on March 19. We have already shot the first four episodes, so the original broadcast date will not be affected.”

“Rooftop Prince” is about a Chosun era Crown Prince Lee Gak (Park Yoo Chun) who was in the midst of investigating the death of his Crown Princess ( Jung Yumi ) when he mysteriously gets sucked into the future and meets his destined love (Han Ji Min). The historical-fusion-contemporary-fantasy drama “Rooftop Prince” will premiere on SBS on March 21 at 9:55PM KST.

[News] JYJ members, Song Ji Hyo, and more pay their respects to Park Yoochun’s father

As reported earlier, the father of JYJ‘s Park Yoochun and actor Park Yoohwan has passed away.

When the news broke, Park Yoochun was on a plane headed to the States for a layover after a successful independent JYJ tour in South America and the news did not reach him until much later.

More recently, the Korean media reported photos of a tearful Yoochun dressed in sweats and slippers upon his arrival in Korea.

Upon hearing the news of the funeral service, his fellow JYJ members as well as CJES labelmate Song Ji Hyo did their part to offer condolences to Yoochun and the family.

Fellow group members Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu were the first to arrive at the funeral location in Seoul. Upon their arrival, they offered their deepest condolences to the family and paid their respect to his father.

Additionally, Kim Junsu’s twin brother and singer JUNO also attended the service dressed in a black suit, looking somber and grave.

Fellow label mate Song Ji Hyo was also present, offering her encouragement and condolences to Yoochun and paid her respects to his father.

The father of Park Yoochun & Park Yoohwan has reportedly passed away due to a chronic illness, and Park Yoohwan has currently cancelled all of his filming schedules for his new drama, ‘Strongest K-Pop Survival’.
